Omkar started in 2004 with one title Guru Charitre, a Parayana book in Kannada. It became hugely popular because of its content and production values. Now it is in its 5th edition.
A few years back Omkar brought out the English version which also became popular in India and overseas.
Subsequently Omkar diversified into Distribution, Retailing and Exhibitions of Kannada books all over Karnataka.
In last 18 years we have our own premium showroom in Jayanagar, housing over 10000 Kannada books. We have published nearly 200 titles in all genres including Puranas, Vedas, Upanishads, Chidrens books, select academic and English books, novels, plays, books onVedanta , life histories and the like
